La Ciervina

Ramon Jimenez Owner of La Ciervina with his champion Cobra

Our mares, stallion and young stock are all raised in nature and liberty during winter and in the difficult hot Extremeño summer. They are protected from the ice, rain and the intense sun by the bushes and encinas. The encinas not only provide cover but also provide an important nutritional factor, the acorn. The variety of grass on the ranch provides a diet rich in vitamins. (proteina) The horses are covered in liberty under a watchful eye. They are checked daily to make sure their health and the social structure of the heard are in optimum condition. The horses roam over more the 1000 hectors with beef cattle, fighting bulls and wild boar. The result is our horses are very hardy and functional. . We have exported all over Europe, U.S, Australia and South America winning championships in Spain as well as overseas.

We are located in the little town of Monroy in the province Caceres( Extremadura,) which is two and a half hours southwest from the Madrid Airport on A5.
